Your first visit will take between 30 to 50 minutes. During this time we will talk with you about your history and ask you questions relating to your injury, including what your symptoms are and what makes you feel better or worse. We’ll ask about previous injuries, other current or past medical conditions, as well as your daily activities in order to determine factors contributing to your problem. We will review any special tests (x-rays, CT scans, etc) that you’ve had. We will then do a physical assessment and bio- mechanical exam to assess your movement and problem areas. Along with your history, this will help us determine the cause of your pain and dysfunction, and will help us treat it most effectively and efficiently. We will discuss our findings with you and start a treatment plan.
Follow-up Visits:
Subsequent visits can be 30 – 45 minutes in length. Your therapist will recommend how many treatments are necessary depending on your injury or problem.
What to bring:
- Please fill out one of the three New Patient Registration forms PHYSIO, CHIRO or MASSAGE and bring it with you to your first appointment. You can give the form to the receptionist or if you cannot print and fill out the form prior to your first visit, you can fill it out in our office on the day of your appointment
- Please bring your BC Care Card with you and any other pertinent information we may need such as your insurance claim number from ICBC or WorkSafe BC, and adjuster’s name
- A doctor’s referral is not needed for private and MSP clients
- A doctor’s referral is needed for WCB, ICBC (Massage & Program clients) and DVA clients; (RCMP needs a referral for Massage Therapy)
- Any test results or specialist reports you have
- For a lower extremity injury - please bring shorts (if you forget them, we have some you can borrow), shoulder injury – spaghetti strap shirt or we have a gown
- Women – please wear a regular bra or a bra that does not cover your spine
- Footwear that may contribute to your symptoms and/or orthotics that you are currently using for support
- Eye glasses for paper work
Cancellation and No Show Policy:
We require 24 hours notice for cancellation of your appointment, so your time may be filled by someone on the waiting list. A fee of $20.00 may be charged.

A receipt for the amount paid is issued which you may pass over to your adjuster. In most cases your fee will be reimbursed by ICBC provided that you were not at fault.

Subsequent Visit = $22.50 (inclusive of HST)
MSP will cover a total of 10 visits within a calendar year of combined treatments of physiotherapy, massage therapy, chiropractor and podiatry.
